Manhattan: Union Square (West) - 15th Street (East) - [Union Square Park.]
Union Square West, north from East 15th Street, showing removal of the Broadway street car tracks by the Works Progress Administration. Union Square Park is to the right extending to 17th Street. Above that point this thoroughfare regains its proper identity. The white building at the N. E. corner there is occupied by Butler Brothers. Overhead appears the Metropolitan Life Insurance Company tower.
View 2 is photographed from 16th Street while No. 3 is closer to 17th Street, the three collectively being progressive.
