Queens: 56th Avenue - East 90th Street. Fifty-sixth Ave. (formerly Court Street, also Justice Street), north side, east of 90th Street (about 160 feet), showing the J.S. Suydam house of 1860. Mrs. Taylor was the owner in 1873. Another occupant was Col. Bloom. This house was still standing in November 1923\. March 1923. Eugene L. Armbruster Collection.

Newtown - Wirsching House - Elmhurst Wirsching House - The Joseph Wirsching House at its original site on the north side of Queens Blvd. opposite old Woodhaven Ave. (Woodhaven Blvd.), Horse Brook Meadow was behind these houses. Wirsching built this house as his residence, Wirsching also built several smaller houses to the east of his two story residence. In 1924 Wirsching House was moved to the south of Queens Blvd. Note: the moving van in front. Photo taken April 1923.

Newtown - Wirsching House - Elmhurst Wirsching House - Joseph Wirsching House on the left on the north side of the old, narrow Queens Blvd. opposite Woodhaven Ave. In the foreground is a "Gasoline" sign. Wirsching built this house as his residence. In 1924 it was moved south of Queens Blvd. due to the widening of Queens Blvd. Note that the center window, upper level, is stained glass.
