Newtown - Wirsching House - Elmhurst

Wirsching House - The Joseph Wirsching House at its original site on the north side of Queens Blvd. opposite old Woodhaven Ave. (Woodhaven Blvd.), Horse Brook Meadow was behind these houses. Wirsching built this house as his residence, Wirsching also built several smaller houses to the east of his two story residence. In 1924 Wirsching House was moved to the south of Queens Blvd. Note: the moving van in front. Photo taken April 1923.
