Newtown - Wirsching House - Elmhurst

Wirsching House - Joseph Wirsching House on the left on the north side of the old, narrow Queens Blvd. opposite Woodhaven Ave. In the foreground is a "Gasoline" sign. Wirsching built this house as his residence. In 1924 it was moved south of Queens Blvd. due to the widening of Queens Blvd. Note that the center window, upper level, is stained glass.
