Newtown - Jeromus Vanderveer House - Forest Hills Jeromus Vanderveer House - old residence (aka Weeden House). North side of Metropolitan Ave. about 50 feet west of Herrick Ave. (70th Ave.). The Vanderveer's owned this house, but lived in a new house built in 1850 on south side of Metropolitan Ave. Jeromus Vanderveer had 60 Acres in Middle Village in 1871 (Now Glendale & Forest Hills in part), and then bought more land, his son Charles farmed Here for many years before moving to Hollis. The Weeden's were tenets and occupied from 1873 - 1922, possibly H. Randall was here 1860. \[QPL print is missing. Copy of print stamped "Historical Survey of Long Island - Collection of Vincent F. Newtown - Jeromus Vanderveer House - Forest Hills Jeromus Vanderveer House - (aka Weeden House) Old Vanderveer house with stone barn in rear. North side of Metropolitan Ave. about 50 feet west of Herrick Ave. (70th Ave.). Jeromus Vanderveer inherited his father's 36 Acres in 1879 and bought 60 Acres in 1871, his son Charles farmed here before moving to Hollis. The Weeden's were tenants in 1873 and still occupied in 1922. The Vanderveer's occupied a new house built in 1850 on the south side of Metropolitan Ave.

North side of Metropolitan Ave. about 50 feet west of 70th Ave. Stone Barn at left was built in 1850, to its right (east) and slightly north is a Wooden Barn. In the right foreground is a garage. The Weeden's occupied but did not own the property 1873 - 1922.

Vanderveer barn built of Stone, 1850 behind (north) of the Old Jeromus Vanderveer House on the north side of Metropolitan Ave. about 50 feet west of 70 Ave. The Vanderveer's lived in their "New" house erected 1850 on the south side of Metropolitan Ave. H. Randall Occupied the Old House near the Barn in 1860, and Weeden's occupied it 1873 - 1922.

The barn in the center is stone. A large wooden barn is at right. The Vanderveer's had almost 100 acres in the Middle Village-Glendale-Forest Hills Area.
