88 Fourth Avenue was erected in 1902 as the Grace Church Choir School. It was designed with Gothic motifs by the architectural firm of Heins and LaFarge, winners of the original competition for the Cathedral of St. John the Divine. Both No. 88 and 90 are part of the Grace Church individual NYC landmark designated in 1966.
