Henderson Place, perhaps the shortest street in the city, extends half-way in the block toward 87th Street, between No. 545-547. The chapel and hospital of the Sisters of Misericorde (Roman Catholic) is No. 523-535.

The New York Sun of December 22, 1956 reports the filing of plans for a modern 6 story apartment on the sites of No's 517-21 E. 86th Street. These structures are at the left of this view being a 5 story tenement and the 2 recessed buildings of the Dobbs Day Nursery and are to the west of the hospital of the Sisters of Misercorde.
