[IRT Subway Construction]

Cyanotype photograph print of the street level in front of Grand Central Terminal two days before the main part of the Terminal opened to the public. This photograph was taken during the construction of the section of the first subway line of the Interborough Rapid Transit Corporation along 42nd Street and 6th Avenue that eventually became the IRT Grand Central/Times Square Shuttle.
