Newtown - Springsteen House - Rego Park

Springsteen House - (built 1859), being renovated. Located on the north side of White Pot Road (now Fleet St., 66th Ave.), partly in the roadbed of present Alderton St. on NE corner. View shows west side of house. Michael Stryker Springsteen (1804-1886), Husband of Alletta B. Duryea and Father of David, built the house. David Springsteen inherited and in 1888 and married Annie W. Montfort of Brooklyn. Photo taken July 1923.
