Board of Water Supply. The Panama-Pacific International Exposition kicked off in San Francisco on February 20, 1915. This world's fair celebrating completion of the Panama Canal also celebrated a similarly-exceptional feat of engineering, the Catskill Aqueduct. The Board of Water Supply was invited to participate and prepared an exhibit of the Catskill system that was displayed inside the New York City Building and received a medal of honor. In addition to this 6' x 3' relief map model, the exhibit included thirty posters with different themes such as surveying, police patrols, equipment, and aerating water. This model is now in the NYC Department of Environmental Protection archives. February 8, 1915.
