Fifth Avenue, north from 41st Street, showing pupils of the Spence School for Girls out for their daily walk. At the extreme left is the reservoir which for many years covered the site now occupied by the New York Public Library. In the left background is the Bristol office building, formerly the Hotel Bristol. This was demolished in 1929 to make way for the Salmon Tower. The spires of St. Patrick's Cathedral may be dimly seen in the right background.
Temple Emanu-El, demolished in 1927 is the spired building in the center. 1900.
