Riverside Drive and West 138th Street
\[New York Central and Hudson River Railroad Locomotive] Side view of New York Central and Hudson River Railroad B-10 class locomotive #532, with inscriptions painted on the side: N.Y.C.\&H.R and NEW YORK CENTRAL LINES on the West Side Freight Line in front of the arch of Riverside Drive at West 138th Street. Engraved medallion on side with inscription: AMERICAN LOCOMOTIVE COMPANY. Four men and two children are posed in front of locomotive, and another man and child are partially visible at the right edge of the frame. An elevated road and apartment buildings are visible in the background. The B-10 engine was built by Alco in 1910 and scrapped in November 1927. That scrap date predates the opening of the west side freight elevation and the removal of freight traffic off 1th Avenue.
