Newtown - Heckmann's Halfway House - Elmhurst

Heckmann's Halfway House - Located on the north side of Queens Blvd. east of Woodhaven Ave. and opposite Eliot Ave. George Heckmann operated it in 1896 until his death in December 1911. The old Halfway House is to the left, Dietrich Mueller built the new halfway house and wagon shed to the right.
