Manhattan: Park Avenue - 39th Street

77 Park Avenue at the S.E. corner of 39th Street, a new apartment house nearing completion. This entire block has been rebuilt since 1921; the building partly shown on the right is the corner house at 38th Street which replaced the old C. D. Barney house in 1922. Compare this picture with the N.E. corner of 38th Street in early 1922 and notice also how the center parks have been modernized
to leave more room for motor traffic.
