Ice Breaking on Flushing Bay

City and borough officials, firemen, policemen, and local residents stand next to two sleds with batteries and dynamite from the Dupont Company. One man is wiring a stick of dynamite. The dynamite was used in an effort to clear ice from the frozen Flushing Bay. The frozen bay was preventing the delivery of coal to the area. The attempt was unsuccessful.; hand written on back of print: Flushing Bay 1-21-18
