Queens: Queens Boulevard - 55th Avenue

Oueers Boulevard, north side, west of Fifty-fifth Ave., to Broadway, showing in 4 views the Old Presbyterian Church and Cemetery of Newtown. The Church was destroyed by fire in May 1929. iee other views. The rest of the buildinaein this view were all demolished by Mar. 1, 1931. This churcn was erected in 1787 on site of a former one destroyed by the British during the Revolutionary Var. Dr. John P. Knox was pastor from 1855 to 1882. At this
time square pews with little doors were installed.
