Buildings line the avenue, mostly apartment houses, with the Central Synagogue and an unknown church spire visible in the background. Pedestrians can be seen on each side of the street. Automobiles are traveling along the avenue. A man, in what may be a police uniform, is prominently featured in the center of the image. The avenue is paved with wooden slats at the right and left of streetcar tracks.
