43 St Marks Place between 1st and 2nd Aves, now it's a Body Works spa

Walking around the then less crowded streets of the East Village in the summer of 1980, one lone young "punk" walks in front of a graffitied facade of a building that has had many lives. I can't find how it served the needy in it's original incarnation but by 1980 it was a dentist's office, and is now a message spa.
