Manhattan: 42nd Street (East) - 2nd Avenue

E.42nd St. West from but not including 2nd Ave, prominently shown in the foreground, and on the south side of the street, is the News Bldg. Slightly further westward is the Chanin Bldg (SW corner of Lexington Ave, with the Chrysler Bldg on the opposing (NE)corner of the aforementioned avenue. The dark appearing bldg in the foreground (adjoining the NE corner of 3rd Ave.), upon which is cast the shadow of the News Bldg, is the Bartholomew Bldg, which was the former site of St. Bartholomew's Chapel and Parish House. Adjoining same on the east is the American Express Building.
