Newtown - Middle Village M.E. Church - Middle Village

Middle Village M.E. Church - Located on the north side of Metropolitan Ave. near 75th St. the Methodist Episcopal Church of Newtown congregation first organized in 1768. The church here was rebuilt and enlarged in 1902 after a 1901 fire. This in turn burned down in January 1926, and was rebuilt again as The United Community Methodist Church.
