Newtown - Middle Village M.E. Church - Middle Village Middle Village M.E. Church - (aka Middle Village Methodist Church, aka The Methodist Episcopal Church of Newton) North side of Metropolitan Ave. near 75th St. First organized in 1768, the congregation moved here from Dry Harbor Road in 1836. Middle Village Methodist Episcopal Church
Newtown - Middle Village M.E. Church - Middle Village Middle Village M.E. Church - Located on the north side of Metropolitan Ave. near 75th St. the Methodist Episcopal Church of Newtown congregation first organized in 1768. The church here was rebuilt and enlarged in 1902 after a 1901 fire. This in turn burned down in January 1926, and was rebuilt again as The United Community Methodist Church. \[Original QPL print missing, copy of print stamped "Historical Survey of Long Island - Collection of Vincent F.
