Newtown - Suydam House - Rego Park Suydam House - in 1860 was this was William Suydam House, then Mrs. Suydam 1873, G. Stoothoff 1891, and Mrs. Stoothoff 1896. It was east of Juniper Swamp Rd. (63rd Drive), the site is now 62-20 and 62-26 Dieterle Crescent. Photo taken April 1923.

Newtown - Waldron House and Barn - Rego Park Waldron House and Barn - (aka J.J. Tompkins House) Built 1760 by Samuel Waldron. Located at what is now 63-60 Elwell Crescent NW corner of 64th Road. The gable end is to Lowell Ave. (64th Road). At the time of this photo the house was undergoing repairs and painting. Photo taken July 1923.

Newtown - Waldron House and Barn - Rego Park Waldron House and Barn - Samuel Waldron House, built in 1760 (aka J.J. Tompkins House). East of Juniper Swamp Rd. (now 63rd Drive) and north of Carlton St., currently the NW corner of Elwell Crescent and 64th Road, at 63-60 Elwell Crescent. The house is abandoned here, but appears in good condition. The present site is on NW corner of Elwell Crescent and 64th Road, at 63-60 Elwell Crescent, south east of Old Juniper Swamp Rd. (63rd Drive) and east of Trotting Course Lane (Woodhaven Blvd.). View of the north and west Sides of the deserted house, the porch has fallen. Photo taken April 1923.

Newtown - Waldron House and Barn - Rego Park Waldron House and Barn - (aka J.J. Tompkins House), built 1760 by Samuel Waldron, a distance east of Juniper Swamp Rd. (now 63rd Drive) and north of Carlton St., currently the NW corner of Elwell Crescent and 64th Road, at 63-60 Elwell Crescent. Owned by: J.J. Tompkins 1852, 60, 73, 91. In 1915 Matawok Land Co. owned the property. At the time this photo was taken, in April 1923, the yellow house was abandoned. This photo shows collapsed porch on west facade.

Newtown - Waldron House and Barn - Rego Park Waldron House and Barn - The current NW corner of Elwell Crescent and 64th Road, at 63-60 Elwell Crescent. Built in 1760 by Samuel Waldron, a blacksmith (1715-1771), he married Anna Delameter on April 25, 1735, and they moved to Newtown. Owned by: J.J. Tompkins 1852, 60, 73, 91. This view is from Penelope Ave. (now 63rd Drive) looking east. At the time this photo was taken, in April 1923, the yellow house was abandoned.

Newtown - Zeiler Houses - Rego Park Zeiler Houses - NW side of Penelope St. (63rd Drive), midway between Booth St. and Wetherole St. Note the windmill, possibly to pump water, behind the small yellow house. The small house was oldest: No Name 1860, William Zeiler 1873, Zeiler 1891. The white peak roof house on left was lived in by Keppler in 1896. Zeiler owned both houses, which were destroyed by fire late 1923 or January 1924. Photo taken April 1923.

Next north is Adam Geier House in roadbed of current 63rd Ave. North of Geier (in center of Photo) is the Michael Stemler House (1873), M. Green (1896). Far right on eastside of the road is the Miller House at Fitchett St. Apr. 1923.
