Newtown - Zeiler Houses - Rego Park

Zeiler Houses - NW side of Penelope St. (63rd Drive), midway between Booth St. and Wetherole St. Note the windmill, possibly to pump water, behind the small yellow house. The small house was oldest: No Name 1860, William Zeiler 1873, Zeiler 1891. The white peak roof house on left was lived in by Keppler in 1896. Zeiler owned both houses, which were destroyed by fire late 1923 or January 1924. Photo taken April 1923.
