This brownstone five-story building was constructed in 1880 by architect W. Jones for W. Jennings Demorest. It was the home and studio of actor Robert De Niro Jr.’s parents, and perhaps the infant De Niro himself. Painter Virginia Admiral and Robert De Niro, Sr. were two people on an almost-unrivaled list of artists to live here.
