Newtown - Small Frame Cottage - Glendale

Small Frame Cottage - Located on 73rd Place (was NW Corner Proctor St.) and Central Ave., opposite Cooper Ave., the address is now 70-30 73rd Place. One of the earliest residences in central Glendale, it may have been the residence of Glendale Stations first postmaster in the 1870s. Photo looks E-NE at far right in background is part of Hillen's Hotel (originally house of Nicholas Wyckoff) at Cooper Ave. & Current 74th St. Still standing in 1994.
