My pandemic has been insane. From me and my mother contracting COVID-19, to me getting into a relationship with someone I love dearly, to the multiple fights we’ve had as a family. The most memorable thing I have had during this mess was getting our bunny Mae. Get ready cause this is a long story. So my moms boyfriend, Joey, decided one day as he came home from his job upstate, to get my younger sister, Natalie, a bunny. It was her dream for the longest time, so he brought her upstate keeping her in the car as he gets her the bunny from a small farm. He gets the bunny and brings it home. We called this bunny Mae. A bundle of joy. So tiny and small. Me and my older sister Maggie were worried though since we have a 6 year old cat named Casper. 2 months go by and Mae is fat. I have never seen a bunny get so big and fat but we learned bunnies just grow that big. That bunny is crazy. Biting our phone chargers, eating anything and everything, and making my cat super angry. Mae is a blessing but a curse. On top of this we soon find out they are not a female but a male. He peed on the couch so much, but we got him neutered 12 days ago and he is recovering just fine. He’s less of a troublemaker now but he’s amazing. He’s our little bundle of joy and we love him so much. He’s the best thing that has come out of this. He’s the glue to our family now.

In my opinion, this experience made bonds grow stronger. Seeing my family members every day for almost every hour made me grow closer to them and create new memories in this new pandemic experience. It was fun to obtain new hobbies like cooking baking and playing Just Dance, while at the same time quarantining and being there for each other at home. I’m glad we could also still keep family traditions like camping. I think it was an experience worth having.

We are now in the most difficult situation for the COVID 19 pandemic as a whole nation and world. Right now we all are broken financially. Not only that we aren't able to go out frequently as the virus spread very quickly. But I am glad that my family members are still healthy and ok.

In the early days of the pandemic, when the schools closed and our jobs ordered us to work from home, the streets were empty. The kids were afraid to go outside. My children didn't leave our apartment for over six consecutive weeks. I wanted to force them out for fresh air, but it was the air that scared them... they were afraid the disease lurked everywhere and when we learned, later in the spring, that COVID-19 could be more easily transmitted through the air than via surfaces containing the virus, their fears were justified and I felt like a terrible mother for chiding them for not getting outside "for their own health."

Kissena Park
Before the Covid19, I saw a lot of people walk on the street and everywhere. The Kissena Park is one place where people can do a lot of activities and exercises. But since the pandemic was starting, fewer and fewer people go there. One day, I went to supermarket and passed this park, there was only a few people who walked in the park.
