The brick house at 141 Greene Avenue dates from circa the 1870s. The Clinton Hill Designation Report stated that the ground floor commercial space likely dates to the construction of the building.
In the last nearly 60 years this building has changed very little, including the look of the commercial space; what was once a grocery store is now a dry cleaner. And its neighbor at 373 Waverly Avenue (at left) is no longer a liquor store, but a pizzeria.
