Eleven Forty Fifth Av.
1140 Fifth Avenue at 95th Street, 1923.
Built by real estate developer Fred F. French, the 14-story structure was completed in 1922. French is best known for Tudor City, in 1925 the largest housing development in midtown Manhattan; Knickerbocker Village, one of the first federally-funded residential urban-redevelopment projects; and his eponymous Art Deco skyscraper at Fifth Avenue and 45th Street.
