Atlantic Avenue and Fourth Avenue. Williamsburgh Savings Bank
The Williamsburgh Savings Bank Tower, from Atlantic and Fourth Avenues, 1929.
The tower was designed by Halsey, McCormack and Helmer and opened in April 1929. The original plans had not included a dome at its top, but the dome was added at the insistence of the bank’s owners, and over the objections of the architects.
