R.R. Stapleton's Cedarhurst Hotel, ca. 1910-1920

This hotel was previously the home of George B. Roe. Roe was the owner of a lumber and coal yard in Flushing under the name George B. Roe and Company. His company was one of the oldest in the area, as reported in the 1882 History of Queens County: 'It owns extensive properties, both on the waterline and in town." The property was converted into a hotel in the 1890s.
