Cable car infrastructure on Montague Street, beneath the underpass at Pierrepont Place, October 28, 1914.

This Brooklyn Heights view has long since disappeared, replaced by the Brooklyn—Queens Expressway's triple-cantilever. This photograph was taken some 2 weeks after construction commenced on the Montague Street Tunnel, which, upon its opening six years later would connect the BMT's Broadway (Manhattan) and Fourth Avenue Lines.
