The The James F.D. and Harriet Lanier House, East 35th Street, ca. 1975.

This Beaux-Arts mansion was built for James F.D. Lanier, a well known banker from a prominent family, and his wife Harriet (neé Bishop). The house, designed by the Hoppin & Koen firm, was completed in 1903, replacing a pair of brownstone townhouses which had previously stood on the site.
