This building has been home to the New York Urban League (NYUL) for over a century. NYUL is part of a much larger, nationwide organization that formed in 1910 to help African American migrants assimilate into urban life. Since the inception of the National Urban League's New York branch in 1918, NYUL has provided essential social services in New York City, helping black individuals find jobs, healthcare, educational opportunities, and also expand their employment.
