Shrine of St. Elizabeth Ann Bayley Seton (left), ca. 1976.
Seton, born in 1774 in Lower Manhattan, was the first native-born American citizen to achieve Sainthood. The shrine is built on the site of the former Seton home, while the James Watson House (right), now serves as its rectory.
