Gravesend Avenue (known as McDonald Avenue since 1933), looking south toward Kensington Junction, from a point outside No. 508, the Prosperity Meat Market; May 8, 1929.

The Gravesend Avenue trolley line tracks, originally operated by the Prospect and Coney Island Railroad, ran from Green-Wood Cemetery to Coney Island. Although the surface line was largely made redundant by the opening of the IND Culver Line subway, in 1933, the McDonald Avenue trolley remained in operation until the final day of Brooklyn streetcar service, on October 30, 1956.
