The wooden foot bridge at center is at Mulberry Street. Completed buildings in the background are on the eastern corners of Mott Street.
The Centre Street Loop, approved in 1907 but never completed as planned, was designed to connect service from the Williamsburg and Brooklyn bridges, via Chambers Street. Today, some tracks are used by the BMT Nassau Street Line (J/Z trains).
