St. Thomas Roman Catholic Church, 1923.

The church was built in 1908-1909 as a small wood-frame mission church for the larger nearby parish of St. Elizabeth's. It became its own institution in 1910. In 1914 the parishioners numbered 2700 and growing. Founded by a German community and clergy, the current church building, built in 1921, was constructed in the style of a Bavarian country church. The brick church building has colorful terra cotta banding and medallions on the front facade and a onion shaped copper spire.
