The Sinclair Building, March 2, 1955.

Named for the Sinclair House, a hotel that occupied this site as early as 1840, the Sinclair office building was built in 1908 by architect W.H. Gompert. The building was converted for residential use in 1980.

At the corner, an entrance to the 8th Street station of the BMT Broadway line is visible.
