Service buildings on Vanderbilt Avenue, 1941.

Center-left is the carriage house for the 1882 Cornelius N. Hoagland mansion at 410 Clinton Avenue. Center-right is the garage and chauffeur’s residence for the mansion of Clara Van Vleck, completed in 1919. Most of these type of service buildings have survived and are highly sought after as residences.
