Oak and New Chambers Streets, decorated for St. Vincent’s festival, October 27, 1935.

Buildings along both streets were razed between 1950 and 1953, ahead of the construction of the Alfred E. Smith Houses. The Municipal Building is visible in the background, as are the elevated tracks of the combined Second and Third Avenue Lines.
