Swiss Thatched Cottage, unknown date.

This cottage was one of many small rustic shelters with thatched roofs that were once scattered throughout Prospect Park. Constructed in the 1860s by Olmsted and Vaux, the cottage was a popular spot for scenic picnics.

The cottage burned down in 1937 and was not rebuilt.
