Newtown - Vietor House - Elmhurst

Vietor House - aka Woodward House. Close-up of 18th Century north wing. NE corner Broadway & Old Flushing Ave. (now Elmhurst Ave.). The Woodward's were on this land since 1666, it became Vietor House in mid-19th Century. The original Woodward homestead of the 17th Century stood north of here, and was torn down about 1880.
