Learning from an expert

Four young men in apparent banquet hall examining baseball held by older man in middle; poster and palm fronds in background. Caption: "Learning from an expert: Preacher Roe, south paw star of the Dodgers' mound staff, shows four Brooklyn All Star hurlers how he holds the ball before delivering it. The sandlot twirlers gaining some knowledge are (left to right) Larry Contillo, Bob Weber, Bill Frankhauser and Norman Schatzel. The gang held a little meeting last night at the Hotel St. George, where the Brooklyn Against the World dinner took place."
