Manhattan: 8th Avenue - 30th Street (West)

Eighth Ave., north from West 30th Street, showing in a set of two views one of the main arterial thoroughfares of Manhattan and beneath whose street bed runs the Jndependent Eighth Ave. Subway, a Municipal venture. On the left is the general Post Office occupying the westerly front of the Avenue between 31st and 33rd Streets. The large light manufacturing building aeen,is at the N.W. corner of 33rd Street.
