Manhattan: 6th Avenue - Broadway Sixth Avenue and Broadway, north from W. 33rd Street, showing the "El" tracks upon the numerical Avenue. To the right is the diagonal Broadway. 34th Street is where the Broadway Tabernacle appears. The distinctive Herald Building is north of 35th Street, separating Broadway (left) from 6th Avenue. At the left is the southbound platform obstructing the sign that identifies Jim Corbett's Saloon. The latter was a world's heavyweight boxing champion. 1899 Gift of Urbrock Collection

Tho demolition in the foreground between West 55th and 56th Streets, was the former site of the Sonoma and Rockingham, apartment hotels. The Broadway Tabernacle (Congregational), appears at the N.E. corner of 56th Street, with the 9-story Cadillac salesroom (General Motors Co), adjoining same, and occupying the S.E. corner of 57th Street.
