Newtown - Capt. Luke Remsen House - Flushing Meadows-Corona Park

Capt. Luke Remsen House - Willow trees in the rear of the Capt. Luke Remsen House (was an Ascan Backus House by 1850s). Located in isolated site on the Meadows, on the south side of 65th Road, east of 112th St. (in Current Parkland). Access was via wagon lane from Colonial Ave. and 62nd Drive, about seven blocks to the north.
