Newtown - Capt. Luke Remsen House - Flushing Meadows-Corona Park

Capt. Luke Remsen House - Gnarled willow trees in the meadows along the access lane leading to the house (later about 1850 was an Ascan Backus house). The lane ran from the Public Road (Old Mill Road) at current Colonial Ave. and 6nd2 Drive, about seven blocks S-SE to the south side of 65th Ave. east of 112th St. (in Current Parkland at Grand Central Parkway). The house was gone by 1927.
