Manhattan: Bedford Street - Commerce Street 74 to 48 Bedford Street, east side, south from Commerce to and including Seventh Ave. (Extension), showing in the foreground four 3-story frame houses with brick fronts (Nos. 70 to 64). The 6-story apartment house (No. 62-60) shown is at, what was formerly the N.E. corner of Morton Street (prior to the extension of Seventh Ave.). Building on the extreme right (bearing bank sign) is No. 48 and adjoining the N.E. corner of Leroy Street; Bedford Street at that point being only 37 feet long between Seventh Ave. and Leroy Street.
