125 East 65th Street, undated. This Neo-Georgian Townhouse was designed by Charles A. Platt for Dr. Frederic S. Reed in 1904. Platt was a notable architect whose clientele included Vincent Astor and Sara Delano Roosevelt. Henry R. Luce purchased the home in 1944, eventually gifting it to the China Institute, who remained at this address for 70 years. More recently, the building was the Kips Bay Decorator Show House, which invites 24 designers to reimagine the interior of the five-story home.
