512 Broome Street
Post
512-514 Broome, October 7, 1935. The two Federal style building at nos. 512 and 514 seen here likely date to the early decades of the 19th century. In the early 20th century no. 512 (at right) was the New York office of a Ohio-based mosaic company. Two brick buildings still stand in this location. The building at left is now three stories and the one at right one is a single story. It is unknown whether these current structures are built from the bones of the earlier buildings. The empty lot at far left is currently still unbuilt and serves as the garden area for a Thompson Street restaurant.

510 Broome Street
Manhattan: Broome Street - West Broadway (1) 5l4, 512, 510-508, 506, 504 Broome Street, north side, west of adjoining, and at West Broadway, at the triangular plaza where Watts Street joins Broome. February 12, 1928. P. L. Sperr. (2) The same, not including Nos. 506 and 504. The loft building dates back around 1900. The frame-sided dormer windows, on the two remaining old houses -- the ones at the corner of Thompson Street were demolished aound 1923 -- would lead one to guess they are of frame construction; but they are brick. 1932 or 1933. J. Clarence Davies Collection, Museum of the City of New York. Negative No. 559.
